After studying Materials Science and Engineering in South Korea, Geum Young went to the University of Cambridge to study Business, and remained in Cambridge to study a PhD, focusing on service innovation in manufacturing SMEs. On completion of her study, Geum Young worked in Cambashi Ltd., technology consulting firm based in Cambridge, before moving to Cardiff to work as a lecturer and researcher in Cardiff University. In 2016 Geum Young joined the Business School in University of South Wales as a lecturer.
Geum Young has worked in both industry and academia and experienced in a number of research areas from Engineering, Business and International Development.
