About

Paul started his career in the South Glamorgan Ambulance Service in 1982 and progressed via a number of roles to the level of an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner after 34 years. Paul is a registered practitioner with the HCPC,
College of Paramedics, and a PHTLS instructor with the NAEMT (National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians)

Experience

Clinically active practitioner with WAST and GPOOH in Cardiff and the Vale, worked as a frontline medic with WAST for over 33 years, using advanced skills in the assessment of patients over the latter years. ( Clinical skills 1 and 2, wound management suturing, gluing, stapling, catheter care, Emergency Medicine Trauma and ECG and cardiac interpretation and care.
Paul worked for two years at Swansea University as a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science from 2015 – 2017 before joining the Advanced practice team at South Wales.
