Elaine is currently working as a lecturer in Cyber Security at the National Cyber security Academy at USW Newport.
After completing a Postgraduate degree at the University of Glamorgan, Elaine was employed in a graduate position at Dwr Cymru and quickly gained experience of formatting mainframe database data streams for print and mail production using the Doc1 software tool. As Dwr Cymru became an outsourcing provider of IT services, she became a lead consultant and document developer for clients such as Atlantic Energy, eventually leading to a personal contract with Thames Water. Having gained over 10 years industry and contract experience, Elaine moved into teaching as a better fit for family life, gaining a PGCE at Bridgend College, QTS through the GTP scheme at Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School, then becoming a lecturer in computing at Coleg Gwent.
