About

Originally from Brighton Sussex . I now live in Cardiff Wales .
I am a lecturer in Animation on the BA animation ( 2d Stop Mo) course in the Faculty of Creative Industries

Experience

I have been a lecturer for over 23 years teaching Digital moving image , Digital media design and Animation . I have also been a course leader for the BA Digital Media Design course at City college Brighton and Hove ( Brighton University) I am also a practicing artist, writer and film maker
I have been an animator in Industry working on predominantly Children’s shows such as ‘Charlie and Lola’ ‘The Secret Show ’, and ’The little princess’
I have worked on comedy shows such as 2DTV and Have I got news for you .
My own work as a film maker and VJ artist has been shown at ‘The London film festival’ in the Best of British Animation programmes’ as well as Rio de Janeiro Film festival in Brazil and The Holland Animation Festival, as well as being shown on Channel 4 and TVS television .
I have also chaired talks and festivals such as Wired Sussex and The Norfolk women’s film festival

Research

I am passionate about moving image and believe animation, video and film have a wonderful synergie. In my own work I produce live action and animation together to create interesting narratives and am interested in creating alternative outputs for animated content as well as traditional series work . I feel this is the future of the moving image and am currently working on projects using an interdisciplinary approach to producing work utilising the moving image and theatre .
