About

I am a self-taught 3D Artist/Animator. I worked two years at Funcom as a character setup artist and animator on triple AAA games. Main areas of work were bones/rigging and skinning then animation (both mocap and hand-animation) as well as pipeline structure and implementation into a game engine. Worked on projects such as Dreamfall, Age of Conan, Anarchy Online and Secret World.

After that, I taught for six years at a private IT school in Oslo, Norway. First course year is technical one focusing on 3ds Max, After Effects and Photoshop covering themes such has modeling, texturing, lighting, vfx, animation and rendering/post-production. The second year is a specialist year were I taught UDK/Unreal Engine 4 and Studies include Engine pipeline, gameplay and design. playtesting, documentation and online presence.

Now I teach on Game Design, Game Art and Games Enterprise covering many topics as previously mentioned, but with a much more focus on higher learning, academic research and Pr&Hr management/Studio setup.

I enjoy fish, beer and long walks in nature.

Responsibilities

Senior lecturer on Games Enterprise, Game Art and Game Design courses. Mostly focusing on video game assets creation and implementation. Also game testing and production/publication.

Gamers Guild Norway, Game Dev Wales, Bafta.

On the side, I run a games company (www.Workingmill.com) as well as being a freelancer (www.Secondframestudios.com). I also co-organise talks, events and meetups in the games industry both locally (Wales) and back home (Norway).
