Sivagunalan Sivanathan is a Lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Faculty of Computing Engineering. He is a Constantans, Researcher and Electronic Design Engineer for Centre for Electronic Product Engineering (CEPE) at the University of South Wales.
More than 9 years of Experience in Embedded systems Design, Advanced Digital Design. After becoming part of the CEPE team, Gunalan has successfully led and delivered significant number of commercial projects both technical role and management role. He has years of experience in designing and developing medical electronics and participating in number of researches carried out within the school of engineering, especially around Digital Signal Processing and techniques.
He is an active researcher within his field of expertise and continue to enable and participate in number of research projects across the university by collaborating with other faculties and external organisations including National Physics Laboratory.

Since he joined with CEPE Team as Electronic Design Engineer (Embedded systems and Digital Design) within the University of South Wales he works with the CEPE director to further develop CEPEs range of Research and Development technology offerings as opportunities are identified. he often collaborates with both internal and external researchers.
Areas of interest includes, High speed Digital Design, Medical Electronic Systems and control. Signal Processing and Techniques. Gunalan’ s research Interest also lies in the area of Real-time systems, Wireless technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Sensors and Advance Digital System Design (FPGA, ASIC, and Silicon technologies), opto-electronics systems and interface.
