Adrian Pitman known as Ade
An aircraft engineer by profession, Ade is currently employed as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Lecturer.
A volunteer Civilian Instructor for the Air Training Corp, his hobbies mainly revolve around aviation. Ade is a qualified light aircraft pilot, flying both a Cessna 150 and Piper PA28. Ade is currently finalizing his second book, “Spreading my wings”, due for publication in August 2018.
Apprentice served dual-trade, (Airframe / Propulsion) Aircraft Engineer, with experience gained during a nine year engagement in the Royal Air Force and beyond. Experienced on a range of aircraft including deep-strip third line servicing on Tornado (GR1 & F3), Nimrod, BAe Hawk, Puma, Gazelle, Chinook; along with component repair (Harrier / Chinook).
Four years teaching BSc Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and EASA modules, CAD and Project Management; being Module Leader for ‘Advances in Aerospace Propulsion’, and ‘Maintenance of Propellers & Propeller Systems’.
