Sarah joined the University in April 2012, having previously worked in the Public Relations office at Cardiff University. She is a trained journalist and started her career at Media Wales, where she wrote for several newspapers and the WalesOnline site. The role of the Corporate Communications Office is to issue internal and external communications, press releases and articles and is the first point of contact for incoming media enquiries.

December 2009 to May 2010: Trainee Reporter, Media Wales


Writing and distributing press releases, copywriting for university website, staff and student intranet and corporate publications including stakeholder magazine and annual review, producing a daily news bulletin for staff, liaising with local, regional and national media to co-ordinate coverage, responding to media enquiries and providing experts for news stories on a range of topics.
