About

Claire divides her time between teaching post graduate students beginning professional counselling training and working with counsellors in her private supervision practice. Having worked for 25 years in Personnel and Development, Claire became interested in what hindered individual performance. She trained as a management development coach and action learning facilitator before deciding on a career change which began in 2002. Following her training, Claire joined the University as a Visiting Lecturer teaching on Counselling and Creative Therapies programmes until she joined the permanent staff at the University in 2011 to teach counselling. She has been the Course Leader for the Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills since 2012 and supervises postgraduate dissertation students.
