About

Sheila is a HCPC registered psychologist and a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor.

Sheila joined the teaching staff at the University of South Wales in January 2008 and was a senior lecturer/course leader on the MSc/PGDip Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy for over 10 years. She is now a visiting lecturer on the course.

Experience

Sheila’s early career was in commercial management and in organisational/occupational psychology. She held senior management roles in the private sector including a professional services firm providing consultancy and training services working with many large public and private organisations. Sheila retrained 20 years ago as a Counselling Psychologist and a CBT psychotherapist and has a special interest in PTSD and Social anxiety.

2011-16 External Examiner – MSc Psychological Therapies (CBT) University of the West of England.
2012 – to date Member of the management committee of Health for Health professionals (Wales) which provides support for medical staff in Wales including psychological interventions.
