Mike divides his his time between teaching undergraduate students and his clinical practice as a Mental Health Counsellor for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Mike has over ten years experience in both these roles, and twenty years experience in professional training and development. Mike has a special interest in psychological and emotional well being, specifically a wide range of mental stress related ill-health.

Mike provides consultancy support for third sector voluntary organisations in combating burnout and compassion fatigue, and promoting psychological well being. Mike has also designed and delivers a number of short courses for continuous professional development, available through USW’s Therapy South Wales.
