Fran has spent most of her career in the Civil Service working in the field of IT including data handling, computer operations, and finally as a Communications Specialist on Help Desk Support. She attended Trade Fairs in Paris, Dusseldorf and Cologne, to provide technical support for the Sales Team.
She joined the University in 2006, whilst working on her BA, as an IT Technician with a remit to assist staff and students in IT related matters, D & T, and technical support for Interviews and Moodle.
As researcher: ‘Undergraduate student mentor training and accreditation: the experience of Welsh Higher Education Institutions and beyond.’ This proposal was presented at the HERDSA conference at Darwin University, Darwin, Australia in July 2009, and The Society for Research in Higher Education (SRHE) at its 2009 Annual Conference, in Newport, Wales.
In 2008, I undertook research into Student Mentor Training for a proposal, owing to previous experience as a Student Mentor.
