Davron is the Project Administrator within the Therapeutic Studies department overseeing the administration of the USWTherapy service, a counselling and research centre developed at the University in 2011, and has been part of the service since October 2012. Through this time, the service has been nominated and won numerous awards, including Innovative Practice in the field of Domestic Abuse, runner-up of a ABUHB Innovative Practice Award and more recently, finalists at the UK’s Higher Education Awards in London.

An avid musician, Davron began playing the piano at the age of 10 and achieved an ALCM in Performance in his late-teens. On a whim, he enrolled on a short course in counselling skills at College which nurtured a fascination into how the mind works and he has continued to educate himself in the field ever since, enrolling on numerous courses and volunteering at various charities. He recently combined both his passion for music and mind and is currently undertaking a qualification to become a Music Therapist.

Davron has a varied experience volunteering in the third sector prior to joining the University, utilising counselling skills when working with clients though Victim Support and MIND, and has worked as a carer supporting adults living with disabilities.

His clinical experiences include working with children with special education needs at a SEN School, delivering one-to-one and group work to adults with disabilities in community settings, and is currently providing support to individuals who have experienced sexual trauma.

Throughout his time with the University and in the voluntary sector, Davron has undertaken numerous training events, including Safeguarding Level 3 (Children and Adults), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Guided Imagery in Music Level 1, a range of musical workshops, Working Safely with Trauma, Eating Disorders and Brief Therapeutic Practice.
