Prior to joining the University in 2004, Lee’s career included spells in Production, Quality Assurance, Technical Sales and Business Development. Firstly with a company that design and manufactured potentiometric feedback devices for the aerospace, industrial and broadcast industries, followed by a role with an audio-visual systems integration company.
In his current role Lee works closely external organisations to understand and define their requirements, provides a price for the project, drafts the project agreements once the price has been approved, and liaises with academic colleagues to deliver the project to the specification agreed.

Lee has been a co-opted governor for a primary school since 2006, and served as Vice-Chair in 2008 and Chair 2012 – 2015.
