Emma Forouzan is the Enterprise Manager within the Careers and Employability Team. As part of this role Emma is responsible for leading and managing enterprise and entrepreneurship education activities across the University.
Emma along with colleagues works to develop entrepreneurial awareness and learning and support packages to students, graduates and staff under the umbrella of Student Enterprise.
Emma originally joined the University in August 2003 as the Marketing Projects Manager within the Business School. Her responsibilities included research and working with SMEs in the local area to discover their training needs and how these needs should be addressed via relevant training, guidance and support.
Prior to joining the University Emma jointly established a partnership offering training, facilitation and implementation services to help organisations become more innovative.
She has previously worked at the University of Glamorgan on a European funded Programme entitled “Fostering Innovation in Medium sized firms”. Whilst working on this programme, Emma formally trained as an Edward DeBono creative thinking facilitator and delivered workshops to a variety of SMEs.
Emma graduated from Newport in 1999, with a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration, before gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurial Practice at the University of Glamorgan. In 2013 Emma became an Entrepreneurship Fellow after completing the International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme and in 2014 completed an MA in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education.
