Meinwen Taylor is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and the BEng Programme Leader at Treforest.

An initial BEng degree eventually led, via various jobs, to a PhD in Evolutionary Computation and Experimental Design which initially led to research interests in evolutionary computation, especially small population genetic algorithms. Meinwen has also published papers in quality management. Currently Meinwen is undertaking pedagogic research in the area of assessment and student feedback methods.

With almost twenty years of lecturing experience, current teaching areas include Manufacturing Systems, Project Management, project supervision and co-ordination upto postgraduate level. Currently an External Examiner for two other universities, past posts include acting as a Moderator for Cesine, Santander.

Meinwen is also a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
