About

Managing support for academic staff to maximize the impact from their research through knowledge exchange with a range of public, private and 3rd sector organisations. I have nearly 20 years experience of university business collaboration projects and programmes working closely with academics, the Welsh Government and regional businesses to develop economic and socially impactful projects. Experience includes the commercialisation of intellectual property, marketing research, managing collaborations and developing Impact.

Responsibilities

Leading the delivery of research impact support to academics across all Faculties of the University including

  • Offering a programme of online and face to face Impact training for staff
  • Coaching staff to develop Impact through translational projects and other interventions
  • Marketing and reporting on research impact both internally and externally

Managing the Knowledge Exchange and Impact Team
Development of research impact funding with regional stakeholders including Welsh Government’s Innovation Programmes and regional business partnerships
