Heddus joined The University of South Wales in 2012 as a full time lecturer on the BA [Hons] Interior Design course. She has extensive professional experience having practiced in the Interior Design Sector for over 15 years. During that time she worked on notable projects such as Cardiff School of Management Building at Cardiff Met / Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury / Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre, Newport / The National Botanical Gardens of Wales, Llanarthne.

Selected Projects

Millennium Stadium fit out, Cardiff
Design of the fit out of all public areas around the stadium, including main reception, concourses, administrative offices/areas, changing rooms, medical rooms and press rooms. Additional commissions included undertaking the fit out of executive boxes and advertising on the catering spaces.

National Botanical Gardens of Wales, Llanarthne
£2.5m refurbishment and adaption of existing Grade II listed stable block complex to create visitors facilities including exhibition space, restaurant, cafeteria, shop and offices
Crest Homes, Portmarine, Portishead

£12m urban village waterfront housing and apartment scheme at Portishead on a former power station site and faces a marina development.

Project Phoenix Primary School, Pembroke Dock
£6.5m schools project consists of a 420-pupil primary school (key stage 1 and 2), a 70-pupil nursery and play group section and accommodation for around 40 special needs children.

Garth Olwg Community Campus, Rhondda Cynon Taf
£27 m facility includes nursery, primary and secondary schools, together with a life long learning centre.

Riverfront Theatre, Newport
£15m new build theatre comprising a 500 seat theatre, 150 seat studio theatre, dance studio, dance studio, gallery, artist studios, café and bar.

Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury
£21m theatre and arts centre with a 650 seat auditoirum, 250 seat studio theatre, dance studio, multipurpose space, café and bar.

Cardiff School of Management, UWIC, Cardiff
£14m Cardiff School of Management building is the first phase of a redevelopment masterplan for the University of Wales Institute, Llandaff Campus. It will provide purpose designed accommodation for a total of 160 staff and approximately 2000 students totalling approximately 7800 square metres of floor space. The facility provides a main atrium spaces with café/ social spaces, hospitality suite, lecture theatre, teaching spaces and staff workspaces.

Llanyrafon Manor Rural Heritage Centre, Cwmbran
£1.3m restoration of a Grade II* Listed Manor House in Cwmbran and adaption to a Rural Heritage Centre incorporating offices, café, education spaces and visitors interpretation.

Merthyr Tydfil Old Town Hall Arts Centre, Merthyr Tydfil
£7m project to restore the Victorian Grade II* Listed Town Hall and develop this as a base for Merthyr College’s Arts, Music, and Media courses providing a flexible performance spaces, studios, teaching spaces and café.
