About

Madhulata has worked at the university for four years as a Course Leader and Senior Lecturer. She is currently Course Leader for University Certificate Step up to Management (Social Care Wales).

Experience

Over twenty years in public service delivery having worked in the third (voluntary) and social housing sector. Leadership and management based on over twelve years’ experience working as a leader and manager including seven as a Director that worked with a shadow Board to establish a national third sector organisation (Tai Pawb) in Wales. This organisation acts as an advisor to the Welsh Government and other decision makers in Wales – presented with ‘Best New Charity’ award at the Charity Times Awards 2006.
Course leader for a pilot 60 credit award ‘Step up to Management’ for Social Care Wales. The award was developed to fill an identified gap for practicing social care staff members who lacked a theoretical underpinning of the values, beliefs and theories thought to support effective management practice in social care. The course was evaluated to be a success by an independent evaluator. This was rolled out nationally and now forms part of the new Health, Social Care and Childcare qualification framework due to come into effect from September 2019.
