The University of South Wales was formerly known as the University of Glamorgan. It was renamed on the 11th April 2013 after merging with the University of Wales, Newport. The University is located across campuses in and around Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd in the UK.
I have worked in the field of international student recruitment since 2002 and the University since October 2011. I joined the University as Deputy Head of International Recruitment and was appointed to the position of International and EU Recruitment Manager for the University of South Wales in August 2013.
I thoroughly enjoy my work which has enabled me to engage at both an operational and strategic level in Higher Education across Wales, the UK and the rest of the world. I have extensive experience in developing and managing international partnerships and in the field of international student recruitment and have a wide network of contacts particularly in the Indian Sub-Continent and the Middle East.
I am responsible for managing the International and EU Student Recruitment Team. The main purpose of the role is to develop and implement the recruitment strategies for EU and international markets ensuring maximum return on investment and that the recruitment activities comply with the requirements of the University in terms of recruitment targets. I also work closely with the Enquiries and Admissions team ensuring that we adhere to the ethical recruitment principals at the University. I am responsible for managing and supporting eight International and EU Recruitment Officers each one responsible for a certain markets and regions across the world.
