1974 to 2003 – Royal Air Force. Aircraft Engineering Technician, three-year apprenticeship followed by 26 years of on-aircraft fault diagnosis, rectification and scheduled maintenance tasks on mainly Hunter, Hawk and Tornado F3 fast jet aircraft in addition to associated aircraft engineering training, management and documentation management positions commensurate with holding the rank of Sgt for seven years and Chief Technician rank for 14 years.
