Rachael Johnson (née Morgan) has been working at the University since 1997, after graduating from the University with a degree in Communication Studies. Having worked in the Library for three years, she then spent a year in the Centre for Lifelong Learning, working with secondary schools. Following a six month sabbatical working on board a ship carrying American university students (Semester at Sea), she returned to the Library to work as a Library Assistant while studying for her Masters degree in Information Studies. She has been working in her current post as Digital Resources Librarian since 2005.
Apart from her time in CeLL and on the Semester at Sea ship, Rachael has spent most of her career working in the Library. Having worked as a Library Assistant and a Senior Library Assistant, she has been based in all areas of the Library.
- Responsible for the creation and development of the University’s online reading lists.
- Provides training in the use of the online reading lists software, Talis Aspire.
- Involved in the promotion of online reading lists and blended learning.
