About

Programme Manager with a wealth of programme and project management expertise and experience, coupled with many years of EU funding knowledge.

Have undertaken both MSP (programme management) and PRINCE2 (project management) training.

My MBA dissertation focussed on the management of risk within a large organisation.

French speaker.

Experience

6 years’ experience of programme management: a pan-Wales, multi-million, multi-annual programme.

9 years’ total experience of EU funding, project development, project management, risk management, and EU regulation compliance.

Previously worked for 3 years as a Project Development Officer within the European Office of the University, developing a range of funding applications and business plans for a variety of University initiatives, accessing ERDF, ESF, FP7 and other external funding.

Worked for 6 months at the European Commission in Brussels (DG REGIO).

Worked for 1 year at the Welsh Government on the Communities First initiative.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the pan-Wales, multi-million, multi-annual, ESF-funded Foundation Degree Programme on behalf of the Welsh HE sector. The FD Programme offers a range of courses to private sector employed participants in the Convergence area of Wales, and involves both HE and FE partners across Wales, as well as partnership working with Sector Skills Councils and employer organisations. The programme runs until 2015.

As Programme Manager, I am responsible for planning, structuring, leading and managing the Foundation Degree programme, which is high risk and of a complex nature. I am in charge of the FD Programme Management Unit and all its functions.
