Ian Fitzell known as "Fitz"
MSc Computer Studies, BEng (Hons.) Electrical and Communication Engineering
An experienced educator and manager at HE level since 1999. Previously, was a consultant web designer and postgraduate researcher in the area of computing and GIS.
Taught across numerous faculties, disciplines and levels right through HE, from being a Foundation Tutor, to a Course Leader for a number of courses at USW (previously University of Glamorgan), to delivering at postgraduate level.
Conceived and delivered the 1.5m Creative Industries Development Scheme and managed the team who exceeded targets set by the Wales European Funding Office.
Developed and written numerous courses at HE level and external examined at University of Wales Swansea and currently external panel member at Southampton Solent University
Currently a member of the University Quality Audit Committee, Faculty of Creative Industries Quality Audit Committee and also the College Quality Audit Committee at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Has won a two departmental & university-wide finalist in Excellence in Learning, Teaching & Assessment awards, latest in 2016.
