Having qualified in 1993 as a Registered General Nurse I have gained experience as a practitioner in various general adult nursing settings.
This experience, although mostly in the cardiac speciality has covered a variety of nursing environments, including a cardiac ward, cardiac high dependency and cardiothoracic intensive care.
I have also worked as a member of two teams providing specialist care for patients with various cardiac conditions. These posts, as a cardiac rehabilitation nurse and a heart failure specialist nurse involved caring for patients within the primary and secondary care settings.
Module manager for both pre and post registration modules.
Personal tutor for both pre and post registration students.

Legal and professional issues related to health care for both pre and post registration students.
Adult branch nursing modules.
Cardiology – Cardiovascular Disease and Heart Failure modules.
