Neil is a Lecturer in Policing Practice supporting the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing
Neil joined the university in March 2020. He served 30 years in Devon and Cornwall police, where he had worked in most departments, specialising in community policing. On retiring from the police, he became a lecturer at Exeter college. He became a programme manager, where he taught at both further and higher education levels. His main areas of teaching were law, criminology and supervising undergraduate dissertations. He has also worked in local government as a principle licensing officer.
