Katy Emerson is the Module Lead for CBP2 Problem Specific Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. Katy is a BABCP accredited CBT therapist and joined the teaching staff at USW in July 2018. Prior to working within the University Katy was a CBT Therapist within a local Primary Care Mental Health Support Service (PCMHSS) and also previously worked within IAPT as a High Intensity Therapist and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP). Katy has specialist interests in working with clients utilising Compassion-Focused approaches and promotion of therapist wellbeing.
