Anna is a qualified CBT therapist with an MA in counselling and ten years of post-qualification experience. She also has a great deal of experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and in particular Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She is a Registered and Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She joined the teaching team in 2017 as a visiting lecturer teaching on the Postgraduate Certificate in CBT and the Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling. Anna joined the BA (Hons) Counselling and Therapeutic Practice in 2018 as Year 2 tutor and to lead the Integrative Practice 1 module. Prior to this she taught at Cardiff University, University of West of England and Westminster College Oxford. Over the years Anna has developed her pluralistic counselling style using CBT as her core model.
Anna currently divides her time between developing the BA course and seeing clients/supervisees both in her private practice and as a senior counsellor of a charitable organisation. She has extensive experience of working with complex PTSD, OCD and ASD.
Previously Anna has run departments in other educational institutes and has worked with students of all ages and abilities. She has particular experience of working with students with specific needs and for three years worked in a specialist unit for children with ASD as a Music Interaction Therapist.
