MA Fine Art / distinction
BA [Hons] Interior Architecture

Elys is the course leader of BA [Hons] Interior Design at the University of South Wales. He Joined USW BA [Hons] Interior Design in 2006 and has been with the course for over 10 years. During his time as course leader he has been developing a student experience that spans the true spectrum of interior design, introducing an early focus to engage more fully with the interior object, materiality and the singular space.

Previously he taught BA [Hons] Interior Architecture at the University Of Wales Institute Cardiff, teaching on the course for over 9 years. During his time at Interior Architecture he focused on new emerging technologies such as CAD and Computer Rendering, he won multiple awards for student work within the Form Z joint study program 2002 -2005.

Whilst working at Interior Architecture he studied further towards an MA in Fine Art, recieving a Distinction in 2006. To date Elys exhibits regularly, having shown in Cardiff, Bristol and Bath. His most recent solo show ‘Street’ was exhibited at ArcadeCardiff, an Arts Council Wales funded contemporary project space.

In 2013 Elys published CAD fundermentals for Architects with Laurence King publishing. The book is intended for students and professionals in Architecture and Interior Architecture/Design.
